"Missing You" (Korean: 그리워해요; Geuriwohaeyo) is a song by South Korean girl group 2NE1. The single and its music video were released on November 20, 2013. The song was produced and written by YG Entertainment producer Teddy. It immidiately achieved an all-kill.[1]
A Japanese version of "Missing You" was released on the group's Japanese edition of their 2nd Korean studio album, Crush.
"Missing You" was once again re-released by YGEX for the 2NE1 Best Collection -Korea Edition- compilation album.
Background[]
The track was originally set to release in September 2013, but was delayed for unknown reasons. The day before "Missing You" dropped, Yang Hyun Suk was quoted as saying the single brought his to tears when he first heard it. Dara spoke about the song, saying, "I cried so much during the recording that I used up a box of Kleenex by myself." Bom commented, "Our emotions pour out from the song". It was released on November 20, 2013 alongside a music video.

It was first performed at the 2013 MNET Asian Music Awards alongside a remix of the group's 2011 track "Lonely".[2] . On November 24, 2013, 2NE1 began to appear on music shows M! Countdown and Inkigayo to perform the song live.
Promotions ended at the end of December 2013.
Reception[]
On November 20, 2013, Billboard released an article regarding 2NE1's new song. As CL went naked in the music video, she received much attention from Korean and foreign press. Billboard article, written by Jeff Benjamin, read, "The music video also shows a softer different side for the group -- particularly leader CL. Dressed in fashionable, at times witch-like, winter gear, the girls spend most of the video on the verge of tears singing the heartbreakingly bitter lyrics. The video's talking point is undoubtedly when CL goes nude for a daring naked scene during the second chorus."[3]
"Missing You" was 2NE1's most successful single release in 2013, achieving an all-kill immediately upon release.[1]
