"Do You Love Me" is a song by South Korean girl group 2NE1. The single was digitally released on August 7, 2013 and its music video was released the following day.[1][2] The song, produced by YG Entertainment's main producer Teddy, is said to be very representative of 2NE1's electro-pop style.[3] The song's musical qualities parallel those of 2NE1's most well-known track "I Am the Best", released two years prior.

A Japanese version of "Do You Love Me" was released on the group's Japanese edition of their 2nd Korean studio album, Crush.

"Do You Love Me" was once again re-released by YGEX for the 2NE1 Best Collection -Korea Edition- compilation album.

Background

After ending "Falling in Love" promotions in July 2013, 2NE1 announced "Do You Love Me" as their next monthly single. In addition, the members of 2NE1 would be filming the song's upcoming music video themselves.

Promotion

2NE1 appeared on Korean music shows M! Countdown, Music Bank, and Inkigayo to perform the song live. Their live performance of "Do You Love Me" on KBS's Music Bank was their first on the show in three years since its entertainment agency ceased relationships with KBS following a dispute.[4]

In addition, the group ran a "Do You Love Me Lip Video" video. Fans were to use clips of the members' "lip videos" to make fun videos mimicking the music video. The Top 6 winners' videos can be seen here.

"Do You Love Me" promotions ended in early September 2013.
